I came across Map Envelope the other day on Twitter (via SmashingMag). You can put a location in and print out an envelope lined with a Google Maps image. Très cool!
I created this one – because I would love to be in Whistler right now!

I only recently stumbled across Sunset Mag but I’m impressed! Created by the team behind Sunset Events (who were a dear client of mine when Cube7 was still in existence) it has a great mix of Perth events, sounds, pics and arty stuff. Really cool and something that I’d love to contribute to! Have a read if you have a spare minute.

The most exciting thing to happen this week? Seeing my across the road neighbours get their new pool craned in. It was funny seeing a flying pool way up in the sky.
Do you use Omni Graffle? I do. It’s especially handy for mocking up wireframes. Visit this site and download some free templates.
I really love the design and illustration on this site – Also Design
The Australia Council of the Arts published “The writers guide to making a digital living” last year. I really need to make an effort to read through it all because the snippets that I have read seems quite interesting.
Every now and then the web will surprise you with a little patch of lovely. That is what I found when I visited the site of Marian Bantjes.
From the gorgeous flourishes of the menu font to her outstanding pen and vector work, sites like this exist to inspire and rouse the creative spirit. And what’s cooler than her impressive talent is she lives in my favourite part of the world – an island off the coast of Vancouver! Her workspace was featured in the Jan/Feb 2008 issue of I.D. (the article is called The I.D. 40 Creative Workspaces) so once I get my hands on a copy I can sit and pretend that I had her talent and her workshop!

Wouldn’t you agree that the world would be a much darker place without the chocolate rain guy, lazy sunday short, the out-takes from the RV salesman, the German kid going psycho playing UT and of course, goatse (which I won’t link to because my Mum reads this).
The video above pays homage to the clips that are forwarded throughout the world, bringing with them immense timewasting joy – or in goatse’s case – prodigious depravity. What would we do without the internet?

I don’t know how I managed to not see this in my web trawls but thankfully I was enlightened by Rah and I now plan to spend countless hours quietly chuckling to myself over the hilarity that is the lolcats phenomena.
Now, this is funny. An ode to Paxil to the tune of J.T.’s SexyBack. PaxilBack. (via byrdhouse)
Youth Against Soduku – sign me up. It’s a well known fact that anything involving numbers and logic is the handiwork of Satan.
Any web dev person worth their salt probably knows about this site but I figured it was worth mentioning in order to boost my cred.
Ahhh single-serve food stuffs, kawaii and softly spoken girls with pig-tails = fun for everyone. Check out BentoTV
Look! Look! Not only did Dan get to stand dangerously close to the Foo Fighters the other day (♥ Dave Grohl ♥) but he also took pics of Las Vegas hotties Panic! At The Disco. What a star!
btw BIG CONGRATS go to everyone’s favourite rocktographer, Daniel Boud, for his 2 page spread in the latest Spin magazine (with the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s on the cover). Isn’t it great when people actually do something with their life!
Welcome to Too Askew, the blog of 30-something writer, Krissy Bradfield. At the moment I am loving all things MMA, the colour #990000 and thunderstorms. {Est. 2001}
