Hello! Welcome to the archive for Animales. Enjoy!

Poor Gingy

Gingy post eye gouge

Mum and Dad got me Gingy (from Shrek the Halls) for Christmas. Unfortunately Benny was able to get his rabid teeth around him when I knocked him off my desk sometime during the week. Gingy is now a very damp cyclops. Poor little thing.

I swear – if it’s not one…
Jasper

it’s the other!
Lai

But thankfully it’s never both of them up here at the same time!

Sometimes I wonder how I get so much work done when there always seems to be a calico or white tail obscuring half my keyboard. Silly kitties!

Bother me? No, not really.

Jasper enjoys being awkward

Jasper can be a very long cat. Especially when she’s hot. She can take up half the length of my desk, and even though she is skinny, with her increased fanning tail movement she can appear larger than she really is. I don’t mind having her so close, even though this office gets so hot in the afternoon when the sun is setting. I think she just likes sitting up here looking at the fish and being close to her Mumma. Sweet old girl.

Lai helps herself

You’d think we don’t feed her enough! This is Lai, helping herself from a box of dry cat food.

Cute!

Damn I wish Benny could talk back to me like this puppy!

Regular posting and the announcement of the winner from last month’s blog comments coming soon – I promise!

For (and from) Mum

A Kangaroo and her joey @ Serpentine Falls

I wasn’t able to get any photos of the kangaroos that hang around at Serpentine Falls when we went on Sunday so Mum sent this one. It’s got a wee little joey in its pouch too – see?

The one about the fishies

One of the most loathsome of my household chores is cleaning out the fish tanks. It usually takes about half an hour to do so it’s not that it is a big job – it’s just that I’m petrified I’m going to kill the wee little ones as a result of me moving them from tank to bowl. One of my other fish, Lennie Briscoe, always got sick (in a bendy kind of way), every time I cleaned his tank so I think that anxiety is just carrying over to our new(ish) fishes.

Anyway – I give you Opal and Sapphire frolicking in their clean tanks!

of one thing I’m sure

where there is a heater, there is bound to be a cat.
